Childcare

Loving, nurturing care is provided for the youngest members of our church family and those of our visitors during all worship services, including special services such as Eventide, Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve. We also have a live feed of the worship services in the assembly room for any parents that want to be with their child but not miss the service.

Nursery: Infant/Toddler Room- 6 Weeks – 2 Years

Located in Room 102 on the first level of the Children’s Education Wing

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” – Matthew 19:14

Come visit our nursery where our paid childcare providers with the help of parent volunteers, care for infant and toddlers. With its cheerful play area and its quiet crib room for nursing mothers, our youngest learn to know God as loving and caring. They experience the church as a place where they feel safe and loved; a place where they belong.

Parents are required to sign their children in to the nursery and put the available tags on their diaper bags. Please add any pertinent information and alert the childcare providers if you have any special instructions.

Allergies, Allergies, Allergies… Please list any allergies and alert the childcare providers about any information they might need regarding allergies.

Snacks each Sunday usually consist of Cheerios, Goldfish, pretzels or graham crackers and water. Please feel free to send a snack with your child if your child has dietary restrictions we may not be able to accommodate.

For PEACE OF MIND, vibration pagers are available to parents of children who are visiting or who are experiencing separation anxiety. We want everyone’s experience at First Church to be positive, so if your child is still having trouble calming down after 15 minutes we will page you to come back to the nursery.

Preschool Room: 3 Years – Pre-Kindergarten

From the Sunday School room with its books, puzzles and art to the Play Room with its creative activity centers, the children will feel safe as they learn and play.

Allergies, Allergies, Allergies… Please alert the childcare providers about any information they might need regarding allergies.

Snacks each Sunday usually consist of Goldfish, pretzels or graham crackers and water, although sometimes we may have a celebration with special snacks. Please feel free to send a snack with your child if your child has dietary restrictions we may not be able to accommodate.
